Armor GelTM is a clear, water-based wound
dressing gel with antibacterial properties.

  1. What ingredients does Armor GelTM contain?
    Armor Gel™ contains 24ppm proprietary silver (purified water, nano-silver at .01 micron),
    TEA and Carbomer.
  2. What makes Armor GelTM different from other silver products available on the market today?
    Armor GelTM is manufactured using a patented technology to produce metallic silver nanoparticles
  3. (Ag0) coated with tetrasilver tetroxide (Ag4O4). Armor GelTM has both ionic and
    covalent bonding properties. The metallic core (Ag0) facilitates continuous electron transfer, versus an action of single-electron transfer per silver ion.

Indications for Use

  1. What are the indications for Armor GelTM
    Armor GelTM is indicated for the topical management of:
    – Minor Cuts, Lacerations, Abrasions (covering a larger area, such as a Tattoo), 1st and 2nd Degree Burns, and Skin Irritations.
  2. Armor GelTM is FDA cleared as an over the counter medical device. What does that mean?
    Armor GelTM can be purchased without a physician order or prescription.
  3. How often should Armor Gel™ be applied?
    Armor GelTM should be applied to the affected area every 24 to 72 hours (antibacterial properties are effective up to 72 hours), but the frequency will depend on the type and condition of the wound. For Tattoos it is suggested an application of 2-3 times per day.

Safety and Adverse Reactions

  1. What adverse reactions are associated with the use of Armor GelTM
    There are no known adverse reactions associated with the use of Armor GelTM Wound Dressing Gel.
    A healthcare professional should be consulted if there are any concerns or questions about a wound. Be alert for signs of wound infection and inform a physician if you note the following:
  • Pus or cloudy fluid draining from the wound
  • Increased redness around the wound
  • Wound becomes extremely tender
  • Increased Pain or swelling 48 hours after the wound occurred
  • Onset of Fever
  • Wound has not healed within 10 days from the date of the injury
  • Will Armor GelTM cause staining of the skin?
    No. Armor GelTM contains only 24ppm silver, and has never been reported in association with skin staining or Argyria (a slat-grey or bluish discoloration of the skin).

Storage and Stability

  1. How should Armor GelTM be stored?
    Armor GelTM should be stored at room temperature.
  2. What is the expiration date of Armor GelTM?
    The expiration date of Armor GelTM is stamped on the crimp of the tube.
  3. What is the stability of Armor GelTM once the product has been opened or the seal has been broken?
    Once opened, recommends the tube be stored at room temperature with the lid closed at all times. Following these instructions, a tube of Armor GelTM is good until the expiration date of the product.
